Khao Sok village activities
Activities in Khao Sok Village
A full day immersed in the living heart of Khao Sok, one of the oldest rainforests on the planet. This experience combines three of the region’s most rewarding encounters: time spent with rescued elephants in their jungle sanctuary, a hands-on Thai cooking session with a local chef, and a languid bamboo raft journey along the Sok River beneath towering karst cliffs. No rush, no large crowds, just a small group, a French-speaking guide, and a day that moves at the pace of the jungle itself.
In the village of Khao Sok, we also offer kayaking activities, by day or by night.
Planning
- Pick-up from your Khao Lak hotel at around 07:30, or from Khao Sok village at around 08:30.
- Meet your French-speaking guide and minivan driver for a full day in a small group (max. 8 people).
- Your adventure begins with a visit to the elephants in their sanctuary jungle: learn about their history and daily habits, prepare a balanced meal for them, feed them and give them a bath in the river.
- You will then head back on the road with a stop at the Khao Sok viewpoint, to take in the scenery of one of the oldest rainforests in the world.
- Make your way to the heart of the village and cook a traditional dish with our local chef, then enjoy your lunch surrounded by lush nature.
- After your meal, you will set off on a bamboo raft along the Sok River. Drift through the incredible jungle, at the foot of the karst cliffs, then savour our jungle coffee prepared by your paddling guides.
- Observe wild long-tailed macaques, then at around 15:00, return to your hotel.
